About Us

What do Jaycees Do?

The Cape Girardeau Jaycees is a nonprofit organization of young active citizens age 18 to 40 who are engaged and committed to creating impact in our community. We are individuals invested in the future of our world.

As globally minded young people, we all have rights, responsibilities and share goals. We find targeted solutions to local issues benefiting our communities, our world and our future. Embracing new ideas, collaboration and diversity, we have the passion and courage to address the critical challenges of our time.

Projects typically fall into one of 6 overall categories: Management Development, Community Development, International Involvement, Business Development, Membership Development, and Individual Development. Here at the Cape Girardeau Jaycees, our popular projects include:

  • Toybox
  • Christmas for the Elderly
  • Cape Jaycee 2-person Golf Scramble
  • BBQ Fest
  • Friends of the Park
